Back Job Title: Professional Lifeguard Job Description: Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies Minimum Qualifications: Current certification in the following: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguard and rescue techniques; patron surveillance, emergency preparation, and spinal management An understanding of facility characteristics, rules and regulations, policies and procedures Leadership, management and public relations skills Decision making skills Responsibilities: Recognize emergencies and respond effectively Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor Inspect the facility throughout the day for cleanliness, in and around the pool facility, including bathhouses, guard rooms Inspect first aid kit and keep fully stocked Maintain "check-in" procedures at facility Complete records and reports immediately Regularly participate in in-service training sessions Maintain fitness level (strength and endurance) by swimming regularly Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor Responsible To: Pool Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor United Work and Travel, will walk you step by step though your entire experience along with assisting you in completing all of the necessary documents for your journey. jobs@j1usa.com
